This weekend I discovered a new small business called www.done.com. As usual the business idea is really simple but very effective. It all about hiring a neighbor to help you. Not hiring someone from your city, but a actual neighbor. It can be for anything: painting your flat, fixing your computer, changing a tap in your kitchen, watering your plants while you're on holiday, the list goes on, it just depend on the talent and availability of the people in your neighborhood.
I like this idea because I believe that the internet can serve us locally. With the internet you can reach billions of people, but why not just reach out to people around you? The idea helps supports people in your community, rather than big company brands, and can also be better for the environment with a reduction in transport emissions. We have to see the internet as tool to help us meet each other rather than separate us, after all we are human behind our screens.
